you know how some people get so frustrated that they just want to punch a hole in the wall? well i get that same feeling, but my urges are more along the line of wanting to throw myself against a wall or just dive-roll over a bush. as if sudden impact would somehow snap the frustration out.

its weird, i know.

today was a frustrating day, though. it wasn't like anything specific was actually frustration..i think it was more along the lines that i was going on only 4 hours of sleep, and couldn't get my usual midday nap in either. people say i sleep alot, but i need it desperately. i can't function properly on minimal sleep..small things became stupidly annoying.

but enough of that. somehow,i got convinced to go out.
and my mommy's coming tommorow! yaay.

i think i need a new laptop now. i was supposed to get one as my graduation present, but i think i might demand an early celebration. my keyboard is dying. the n and b keys and the spacebar dont work too well anymore. i have to press down really hard on the b to get it to work. infact, the n doesnt work at all anymore..i have to paste it every time..so frustrating. and now the arrow keys are bust too! how am i supposed to play tetris. honestly.

got the photoblog thing working. i love this picasa program! it shows you all your pics in thumbnail form, and you can browse through them. i've forgotten how many i have..i have alot i want to post. anyway, my first posted pics are from our trip to anguilla to visit my cousin, who works at a hotel there. anguilla is gorgeous....its kind of a barren island in terms of vegitation..no fruits plants grow there, only random shrubs and trees, but the beaches make up for all that. and the water is that beautiful caribbean clear blue.

these dogs were adorable! and they followed me all the way down the beach. but they ran away when it started to downpour. Posted by Hello

my brother and i thought it would be really funny to try and kiss the mountains behind us. ehhh..might not have worked so well..i blame the disposable camera Posted by Hello

yea, not so sure it worked here, either. but anguillas pretty, no? Posted by Hello

i am cleaning up today, and organizing myself. i have been super lazy this semester, and i can feel it coming up to bite me in the ass. i finally wrote down all these design project milestone dates, and midterm & paper dates i have, and well, shit, its all that little week before spring break. i am going to be a busy girl soon. so much for my hours of tv watching and computer organizing.

but i know i'll be more efficient when i'm busy. it's like in high school, whenever i was in a sports season, i was 10 times more productive and efficent than off-seasons. and efficency makes me feel great. i used to love finishing my math homework in math class and ticking that off the assignment notebook. but now i don't even use an assignment noteook....i gotta get back to that.

also, finally downloaded picasa so i can photoblog. that program is really cool! it organizes all your pics for you, by date too. i love google..they are such a great compay with so many great program/options...blogspot, gmail, this picasa program, and ofcourse, their amazing search engine where i can google myself and read that other catherine gainey's AWFUL poetry. seriously, who does she think she is..publishing that shit under MY name.

yes, procrastination also helps writes blogs.

i have my first homework assignment of the semester, and it sucks. homework sucks. i guess i have gotten quite lazy..so far i've ignored any reading i had, and now its really hard to motivate myself. this is another reasons why problem sets are better than reading...you pretty much have to do them, every week, and if you want to keep up, you have to keep churning them out. you can't just procrastinate. i need those problem set deadlines, or else i get lazy.

i had a very nice weekend. got to see kern and reks for dinner...haven't seen them since winter break. also, we threw a party with a keg. i have come to the conclusion that anytime there is a keg, there will be an awesome party. it just brings a party atmosphere with it. and we managed to kick it at 12.30....was not expecting it to finish that early. i guess we have adam to thank for peer pressuring everybody into doing kegstands and funnels. pictures will be posted sometime soon. anyway, a fun party.

i have also lost my voice thanks to this on/off cold i've had since last week. its really funny though, because i sound like i'm dying, but i feel pretty decent.. i almost forget i sound sick, and when i start talking to people, they are like, "woah, whats wrong with you?" are you okay?" and my dad told me "to get in bed immediately" because i sounded so sick. but i already slept after winter league today, so i'm feeling fine.

winter league was dry today! my feet didn't freeze in puddles of ice and mud this time. and our team won both our games...yes thats a 3-3 record now. the only annoying thing about winter league today was those damn softball players. they kept giving themselves nice lofty pitches and hitting the ball out of their already large field into ours while we were playing! at first, we weren't expecting it, and seeing a ball land feet next to you is scary because if it had hit you on the head, you might be dead. i was so angry i went over and spoke harshly to one of the outfielders..and i rarely voice my anger. "just hit the fucking ball to left field! turn your body! or don't loft your fucking pitches so you don't have to hit it out of the field everytime. anything to avoid killing one of us, please." it seemed they had stopped, but no, they nearly nailed everybody on the sideline a couple of times. assholes.

okay. reading about earthquake loads now. woo.

Apparently Scrubs has two more minutes of downloading, so I just started clicking on old links, and came across this one from al's old site...

http://maddox.xmission.com/

this guy is really an asshole, especially because he makes fun of U2, but damn, he is a funny asshole, so i'll continue to read his rantings.

Welcome Back to Blogging, Me!

I'm sitting here waiting for my next episode of scrubs to download, and I've already finished organizing my "favorites" sites list (it had a lot of junk and dead links in it), and I've even managed to go through my 10 gigs of music and rename any poorly named songs that didn't have my new proper naming tags (Artist space - space Song Title), so I decide, hey , i should blog. That will waste some time.

But no really, aside from the fact that I am trying to take up some of the massive amounts of free time I have now that I am a second semester senior and that I am only taking four classes and have no necessary homework and basically dont give a crap anymore, I also thought I should blog because I liked writing about my random days and trivial thoughts, even if it only amused me.

So, well, lets see where to start (obviously, i'm a little rusty at this)..my day today could be characterized as "pretty lazy". I went to class at 9, slept through half of it, came home, took a nap from 11-1, and by doing that I missed Mass and forgot to get my ashes (oops, today was Ash Wednesday, I'm a hopeless Catholic) and then went to raquetball. Raquetball is one of the coolest new things about my semester! It is such a fun crazy sport...I love it! But even today, we had to play with three people on the court and i was lazy and didnt care about the ball and I got hit a couple times. Oops. And then I slept some more, and finished my book, A Curious Incident In the Nighttime With a Dog??? something something. Anyway, that was probably the best thing about my day..it was such a simple yet interesting little story...and the style reminded me of one of my favorite book series..Adrian Mole. I should read those again. Anyway, after finsihing the book, I watched a little tv, saw the first half of the duke-unc game which i wished I could have seen all of it because it apparently was only a 1-pt game, and that would have been exciting to watch (and I love JJ reddick!) and then went to track practice where I continued to be lazy.

Tommorow, I'll be energitic.
Here's Hoping!
Time for some Scrubs.

Is it weird that I start talking and writing and thinking in the same style as the book I just read? It happened when I read the davinci code too. All of sudden, I narrating in my head every action in a dan brown suspense textbook style. And now, I see that the way I wrote this blog, and the way I've been thinking all day have been very "curious incident with doggy" sort of style.
