'this must remind you of home'

it's a very windy day here in london. VERY windy. and i can no longer keep track of the number of people who have remarked to me that all this wind must remind me of chicago. i know it can get windy in chicago, but i think these people are all under the misconception that the 'windy' city derives its title from the weather. silly english people.

anyway, yea, big storms...transportation services severely disrupted. i'm lucky i walk home from work because there are alot of people here worrying about how they are going to get home tonight.

notice the page update? the pretty picture at the top? eh? i'm trying to waste time in work, and this is my last resort. i've read all the news, all the blogs, all the superficial.com celebrity gossip...the usual time wasters; now its time to actually spruce up my own.

not much news to report from my last post. we started frisbee sessions again...oh how i miss playing in tournaments! i can't wait for the summer. also saw emily for lunch while she was in town for a few days; it was nice to get a glimpse of new york and an update on the columbia spattering.

on an unrelated note: some of my favorite spring blossoms are coming out here in places. i've seen a couple of cherry blossoms on my way to work, and daffodils in the flower stands. it makes me so happy, so hopeful....spring is coming! i can't wait for longer days, and warmer weather. when i went back to chicago for christmas, my mom thought i had gotten very pale, and its true! i never see daylight because the sun sets before i leave work! and the five minute walk to get lunch doesn't count...i may burn quickly in the sun, but the five minutes outside isn't going to make me tan.

i'm back.

Well, I had been thinking about restarting my blog again, but thats all its been of late..just thinking. But thanks to emily's new blog, sai's comment ( i didn't know anyone actually still read this), and my own urges to blab about my daily happenings, i have now been inspired to actually write again.

Incase I haven't spoken to you in the last few months, I am now living in london and working at my first real job! My job is allright, it fluctuates between cool and boring, but mostly lives on the boring side. I'm actually at work now, praying for the last half hour to go by at some sort of a decent pace. I miss school, though. I miss my friends and taking naps after class in the middle of the day, and frisbee!

London's pretty cool though; at the moment, I don't really have any good friends, just superficial ones. Well, there is one special friend *wink wink* and I'm very glad he's in london with me, otherwise i would be all by my lonesome. I can't wait for the frisbee season to start though, cause thats hopefully where I'll make some good friends. I'm nervous about trying out for the women's team in London cause i haven't played proper ultimate in a while, and I'm developing a nasty habit of throwing the disc directly into the ground! Oh yea, and I haven't been running in ages...a 30 minute run is now leaves me puffing...very sad.

But anyway, I should probably do something work related in the last 15 minutes. Oh man, and this blog needs a makeover. All my cool, obnoxious pictures were lost when Columbia eliminated me from their server. thanks, columbia.
