haha. finally figured out who endo is...who else reads the guardian.co.uk?

anyway..weekends looking up. the weather sucks today, but thats not gonna dampen my spirits! bells and her new boy toy are coming in for the weekend too (bells is my cousin from engerland) and i am looking forward to seeing them. speaking of england...that was a great match against portugal (recap for those of you who don't watch soccer, but might care...it first was tied 1-1 at the end of the game, and then went into silver goal time...which finished tied 2-2, and then went into penalties. england's captain, the much talked about beckham steps up to take the first penalty and misses! his second penalty miss in the tournament. anyway, portagal also misses one, and it goes to a 7th penalty kick in which the portugeuse goalie saves a shot with his bare hands! and then procedes to step up to take the next penalty for his team and scores!). this whole euro 2004tournament has been great. i actually feel kind of bad for england because they played very well and just got caught out each time.

but you know what? i dont feel bad for them because they are a bunch of snobby brits who kept hyping themselves up...dont they know that the better you pretend to be, the further you have to fall when you fail miserably. they do the same with all their sports stars. poor tim henman, who hasnt won a major tournament or come close to winning one, is seen as a god weeks prior to a tennis tournament as the brits hang on the to their hope that he will dominate world tennis...they keep talking about how great he is, and playing his interviews over and over, and when he exits the tournament at say, a quarter-final round, they act as if their hearts have been ripped out of their chests because tim henman was robbed! of another championship. as if. he probably made it further than he should have.

anyway, this post is probably totally incomprehensible, and i am sorry if it is so, but i think i may still be hungover, so there. i'll stop now. sorry to anyone who actually read it this far.
