alright! second week of work done. surprisingly, the second week went by a lot faster than the first. nothing fabulous or crazy happened at work, but i am finally get used to the area and jobs i'm supposed to do. sometimes though, all i do is observe or follow keith (my supervising engineer) around, and these are the times when the job gets boring. the hardest part of the day though, is definitely around 3, when your body is like 'oh man, it has to be time to go home' and you still have two hours+ left!
drivings going real well though. last weekend i drove into dublin. and if you can drive around dublin, i'm pretty sure you can drive anywhere. the traffic in there is herendous (sp?). and unlike new york or american cities in general, the streets go all different kinds of directions, and they rarely have street name signs on the streets, so you really have to know where you're going, or be really patient.
anyway, last monday night i got to see the twins. my aunt and uncle have taken in these two adorable girls as foster children until their 16. abby and hallie are 4 right now, and they are a great laugh and very cute. when i first arrived, they were so shy they wouldnt even look at me, and when they would walk by me they would cover their eyes. but by the end of the night, we were great pals. (chocolate treats really do win over their hearts!)
didnt do anything too exciting for the rest of the week. today, we went into town, and then out to sandyford where i got to swim in the forty foot. man, there is not much i love more than swimming there. i even wrote my college essay on that place. anyway, the water is fucking freeeeezing! but its almost the shock you get when you jump in that makes it so enjoyable.
today is also my mommy's birthday. she doesnt read this because she is completely inept with the computer (minus checking her yahoo email), but happy birthday mom! anyway.
