random urge to blog

these urges don't come around often these days, but you know, i thought i'd take a break from my olympic watching/attempt at studying to write something, er, anything. and don't worry about me missing any major olympic action, its only ice dancing, and ice dancing is my least favorite winter olympic sport. seriously, i'd rather watch curling.

so yea, lots going on in life, mainly involving ultimate, school, tv watching, and some job searching. ultimate's awesome out here...we get to play year round, and the tournaments are held at amazing locations...so far this spring we've been to santa barbara (gorgeous & sunny), las vegas (WOW.), and the list will eventually include ucla (this weekend), stanford, austin tex, uc davis(okay thats boring, but whatever) and...drumroll please...regionals which are in vancouver, canada! we're going to canada for regionals!! and for some french fries and gravy, you know.

school is school. right now, its not too overwhelming, but i feel its the calm before the storm..midterm time is rolling around next couple of weeks, and i'm pretty sure my lax attitude will change into something of the sort where i freak out.

and the other exciting thing in my life (besides tv and the olympics) is job searching! i've pretty much limited my search to san fran, new york, and chicago..with a couple random london & dublin applications too. i think i would put san fran at the top of my list, and this is probably based off of the fact that my mom told me today that chicago was experiencing record low temperatures while i was walking around here with shorts on. (ps...california weather has definitely had an impact on me. when i start complaining about 50 degrees, i know i've gone soft.) anyway, i think i'm going to head to new york and/or chicago for my spring break week...if i get an interview somewhere, hopefully. oh! and i got a suit too! my first real professional clothing item. it's really nice, pinstrip and all, and its not an old woman suit. but, as with most of the suits i tried on, the pant legs are all SUPER long (this doesn't happen to me with normal pants, so i found it strange), so i have to get them altered...annoying.

anyway, i think i'm done here. if i've managed to bore myself, i can't imagine how bored anyone is who actually read all this. so, ya, i'm gonna go back to my studying and olympic watching, and hopefully anything other than ice dancing will be on.
