HAPPY EASTER.
oh well, i forget to go to church. no wait, i didn't forget, i just didn't wake up in time. i guess i could have gone to a later mass, but there were some fabulous basketball games i had to watch, and they were FABULOUS. especially that michigan state one. wow. it ended exactly the way i wanted it to end...sparky redeemed himself after missing that free throw (i would have felt really bad for him if he had ended the season like that), but michican state won in double overtime. ugh, i loved it. man, i love sports. even sports i don't play. i think if i could be anything in the world, i would be a professional athelete..any sport, preferably tennis or soccer, but i'll take anything. what a great job.
anyway, easter, right. yes, i've accepted the fact that i'm a bad Catholic, and i have started to ignore any guilt i feel about not going to church anymore. the way i look at it these days is that , hey, i'm basically a good Christian. i don't intentionally harm anybody and i know that most of the time i'm a good person, or well, atleast i try. and that has to be more important to God or whoever than following some traditional ceremony or religious doctrine. i feel the only tie i have left to the Catholic church is through my family. church was always a sunday morning outing with my dad, and now that i'm in college, away from my family, going to church doesn't seem as important. i guess for me, religion may be a personal experience, but church is a family one, and i can't be bothered going without them.
annnnnyyyyywway, yea, easter, those cadbury's chocolate eggs are great. well, i had a great weekend. thursday night was bogin's wine and cheese party combined with matt's last minute surprise birthday party. on friday, after spending all frickin day in mudd, we went out (and by we, about 25 members of the ultimate team) to columbia cottage for eric's visit to the city. after polishing off what i would guess was several boxes of boxed wine, we headed over to lions head. it was just a fun night...eric was so drunk he didn't even remember certain conversations. there was alot of "awwww shit, i thought you was a stuuw dent" going on...my favorite line of the weekend. and i've never seen john baldwin so drunk. there was a point where he was slipping down in his booth, and i asked him if he was tired or a little drunk. he kind of stared off into to space and then just blurted out, "DRUUUUUNNK". it was hysterical. on saturday, i played some raquetball with eric. he's pretty good at this game, and it turns out that when he says, "hey, i'm gonna start aiming for you with the ball," he's serious. who knew. i was unexplicably tired saturday evening, but after watching the illinois game, i went a little crazy, and got a little drunk, and wasn't tired anymore. went to 1020, and then went to ruggles, where there was a really fun party. the ruggles boys made an extra effort with all these cute kiddy signs and set up a kid-sized bar in stoops room..i wish i had gotten there earlier to enjoy it more.
anyway, i am now boring myself with all this writing. but its hard to get me to stop typing on my new computer..new keyboards make this great sound. okay, but now i'm done, for real. time to go watch the taped arrested development.
