what does my village do with an historical house that the new developer insists must go?
duh, they MOVE THE ENTIRE HOUSE!

they actually split the house into four pieces, lifted it out of the ground by its foundations, put the pieces on to flatbeds, and rolled it down the streets, unfortunately causing a lot of large branch destruction in its path.

but it was pretty incredible to see a house on wheels. one of the pieces alone was 160 tons!
